Reggie's Cash Dash

RULEBOOK

Hey kids! I’m Reggie the Raccoon, and I’m here to help you learn about money while having a great time! Let’s dive into the fun!

Objective: Accumulate the most wealth by making smart financial choices and navigating through life’s surprises!

What’s in the Box?

  • 27 Financial Choice Cards: Your decision-making power!

  • 27 Life Event Cards: Life's unexpected twists!

  • Money Tracking Template: Use this to keep track of your financial journey!

Game Setup:

  1. Players: 2–6 players.

  2. Age Group: Perfect for kids in K-5 (ages 5-10).

  3. Components: Shuffle the Financial Choice Cards and Life Event Cards into two separate piles.

How to Play:

  1. Starting the Game: The youngest player goes first. Players will take turns drawing cards from the Financial Choice and Life Event piles.

  2. Drawing Cards:

    • Financial Choice Cards: Read the card aloud and make your decision. You can choose to spend or save as indicated on the card.

    • Life Event Cards: Read the card aloud and follow the instructions to see how it affects your money!

Types of Cards:

  1. Financial Choice Cards: These give you options to gain money or perks!

    • Perks: You may gain a perk (like skipping a turn or earning extra benefits).

    • Save: If you save, you’ll earn bonus money at the end of each round!

  2. Life Event Cards: Life can be surprising!

    • Some cards may cost you money (like unexpected expenses) or give you cash (like an inheritance).

Winning the Game:

  • The game continues until all players have drawn a set number of cards (like 10 turns).

  • At the end of the game, count your total wealth from saved money and any perks earned. The player with the most wealth wins!

Example Cards:

  • Financial Choice Card: “Get $3 or skip the next life event card.”

  • Life Event Card: “Surprise! You’ve won $5 in a contest! Add it to your total!”

Special Rules:

  • Ties: If players have the same amount of wealth at the end, the player with the most savings wins!

  • Out of Money: If you can't afford an expense, you can skip the cost but miss your next turn.

Reggie’s Words of Wisdom: “Remember, kids! Making smart choices with your money is super important! Save for the future, spend wisely, and enjoy the game!”

Get ready for a fun journey with Reggie as you learn about money and make awesome choices!
